Facebook To Hire 5 New Members for the Blockchain Team

Facebook is currently hiring for its Blockchain team! The leading social media giant announced it has job openings for five staff members in its Blockchain technology team. Recently, Facebook announced its hiring process for Menlo Park, California headquarters in the respective fields of the Blockchain talent including software engineering, data science, and marketing.

While the firm has not yet confirmed its plans for the adoption of the Blockchain technology in the social media platform, the ads on the respective careers page states that the ultimate aim of the hiring process is to help Billions of users out there by getting access to things that they might not have in the current scenario. Facebook further cites that the hiring process will aid in its equitable financial services – enabling new ways to save & share information.

Facebook has launched its first-ever Blockchain team in the month of May with the aim of exploring and understanding the evolving technology. The Blockchain team at Facebook is handled by David Marcus – previously serving as the President of the Facebook Messenger division. Later in June that year, Facebook appointed its first team of senior engineers in the Blockchain department with Evan Cheng serving as the first Director of Engineering.

In the ads for the careers page, Facebook claimed that the Blockchain department is observed as a startup within the organization. Facebook aims to make Blockchain technology work better at scale.
